- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 medium onion diced
- 8 ounces wine
- 2 teaspoons dried basil or 2 tablespoons fresh basil snipped
- One 15-ounce can diced tomatoes or tomato sauce
- 8 ounces hot cooked pasta
Sauté onion in olive oil over medium-low heat. When onions begin to turn golden, add wine, reduce by half. Add tomatoes and basil, simmer 15 minutes. Serve on hot pasta
