Vanilla ice cream need not be boring! This classic dessert can be downright AMAZING and sophisticated.
VERY Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- salt generous pinch
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
- 1 tbsp whipped cream vodka
- 1 cup buttermilk or whole milk
Instructions

In a small saucepan, bring cream, sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla paste to a boil; remove from heat. Let cool to room temperature, then stir in the alcohol and buttermilk or milk. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or until well chilled. Freeze in an ice-cream maker, following manufacturer’s instructions.
